There is no secret that Donald Trump always says what’s on his mind, with no filter and that often gets him in hot water. That being said, it appears that he even went as far as to call soldiers that had lost their lives in battle ‘f***ing losers’ and Meghan McCain clapped back!
The alleged comments coming from the current POTUS were also directed at her late father, John McCain and so, Meghan did not hesitate to slam the Donald, calling his words ‘vile.‘
The View co-host took to Twitter to say that: ‘I just got through 2 years without my Dad just a few days ago. The loss is incredibly painful and raw still. No one’s more acutely aware of how vile and how disgusting Trump has been to my family, it’s still hard to understand – America knows who this man is….’
This came only hours after a report by The Atlantic claimed Trump had said back in 2018 that ‘We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral. What the f**k are we doing that for? Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.’
Apparently, he said that after seeing flags meant to honor John McCain for his bravery fighting in the Vietnam war at the funeral.
And that was not all! Donald Trump has made other similar remarks about the former senator as well, arguing that ‘He’s not a war hero. I like people who weren’t captured,’ making reference to the fact that he was captured by the enemy troops during the Vietnam war.
In the meantime, however, the White House has responded to the report that Donald Trump called fallen soldiers losers for dying at war, claiming it is not true!
Communications director Alyssa Farah insisted that ‘This report is false. President Trump holds military in his highest regard. He has demonstrated his commitment to them at every turn: delivering on his promise to give our troops a pay raise, increasing military spending, signing critical veteran reforms, and supporting military spouses.’
